Delete Account
You can request deletion of your ChessPlay account and associated personal data.

How To Request Deletion
- In the mobile app, open Settings → Legal and account → Request account deletion.
- Or email support@getchessplay.com from your account email.
- Include your ChessPlay username and the phrase "Delete my ChessPlay account".
- Support may ask you to verify account ownership.
What Gets Deleted
Profile details, account preferences, authentication sessions, refresh tokens, push device tokens, connected device records, and personal identifiers attached to future profile/community views are deleted or anonymized where possible.
What May Remain Temporarily
Completed games, move history, payment references, moderation evidence, support audit trails, security logs, and aggregated analytics may remain when needed for legal, security, payment, anti-abuse, or fair-play reasons.
Timeline
Verified requests are reviewed as promptly as possible. Payment disputes, security investigations, incomplete verification, or legal obligations may extend processing time.
FAQ
Can I recover a deleted account? Deletion may be permanent. Some usernames, ratings, games, or messages may not be recoverable.
Will games disappear from opponents' history? Completed games may remain for integrity and opponent history, but personal identifiers may be minimized.
